ToggleAbout Internship at Centre for Child and Law (CCL)
The Internship at the Centre for Child and Law (CCL) by NLSIU2025 undertakes research and direct field action on a range of child rights issues. The core thrust areas are currently the following: Child Protection which includes childcare and protection, child sexual abuse, child marriage and child labour.
Application Procedure
The candidates interested in doing an internship must submit their application at least 2months in advance providing the following information in the application:
- Name
- Email Address
- Phone number
- Course of Study
- Name of the College/University
- Current Year of Study
- Preferred duration of internship (with dates)
- Area of Interest (Select from the dropdown)
- Previous internship details
- Statement of Purpose
- Writing Sample on the subject of interest within the scope of child rights
Attendance (Mandatory)
- Attendance at the Centre between 9.30 AM to 5 PM (excluding the lunch and tea break of 45 minutes) is mandatory.
- Poor attendance may result in non-issuance of the internship certificate.
Duration of internship
- Minimum duration of internship is 30 working days or 4 weeks.
- Relaxation may be granted in exceptional circumstances subject to approval from the centre coordinator.
- Such a request will have to be made through the concerned Programme head.
Submission of Report (Mandatory)
- The final report on the research tasks undertaken by the intern should be submitted to the supervisor 3 days prior to the end of the internship period.
- Late submission of the report or submission of the report after the internship period will not be accepted by the Centre. If the intern’s University/College requires the Centre to fill out an evaluation form, he/she must submit it to the concerned supervisor one week before the conclusion of the internship.
- The interns will also need to fill in a feedback form which will be given to them after their internship and the copy must be handed over to CCL, NLSIU.
