Eligibility: Law Clerk Vacancy High Court of AP

• LLB
• Integrated Law Course
• The Candidate who enrolled as an Advocate, if selected as a Law Clerk shall suspend the practice before joining as a Law Clerk and shall keep the suspension alive till he/she demits the Law Clerkship.

Period of Assignment and De-assignment of Law Clerks:

• The engagement as a Law Clerk will be normally for one year from the date of assignment.
• However, subject to the approval of the Hon’ble Chief Justice, the assignment period can be extended for a further period not exceeding four years.

Selection Procedure: Law Clerk Vacancy High Court of AP

• Selection for the assignment of Law Clerks shall be made by way of notification inviting applications from willing and eligible candidates.
• Prominent Law Schools/Universities may also be invited to recommend their Alumni.
• Such applications shall be made in the form as prescribed in Annexure, which can be downloaded from the High Court website (www.aphc.gov.in) and it should be accompanied by copies of documents, as enumerated therein.
• Eligible Candidates will have to appear for viva voce at Amaravathi at their expense on the date, time and venue to be intimated to them.
• Provided that the High Court of Andhra Pradesh reserves right to conduct Viva Voce either physically or/and through online mode subject to the prevailing conditions and necessity. 3
• The selection shall be made by the Hon’ble the Chief Justice through a committee nominated by the Hon’ble the Chief Justice.
• The Selection shall be based on merit. The list of candidates selected by the Hon’ble Committee, shall be subject to the approval of the Hon’ble the Chief Justice.

Salary

The honorarium for the appointed Law Clerks is fixed at Rs.35,000/- (Rupees Thirty-Five thousand only) per month.
