NUSRL (NLU) Ranchi Internship Application 2025 is rolling basis with the Chair on Consumer Research and Policy, NUSRL, Ranchi every month. The Chair on Consumer Research and Policy (CCRP) was established at NUSRL, Ranchi in October 2024 by the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution Department of Consumer Affairs, Government of India, New Delhi, to promote research, teaching and training in Consumer law.
Eligibility: Consumer Law Internship NLU Ranchi
- Internship is open to students from recognized law institutions and universities.
- Students pursuing the following courses can apply:
- Second and third year of the bachelor’s degree in law (3-year course after graduation), or
- Second year onwards in the case of the integrated five-year course in Law.
- LLM students.
Objective: Consumer Law Internship NLU Ranchi
To familiarise interested and willing students of law with the provisions of Consumer Protection Laws and acquaint them with the need for and importance of Consumer Protection and Consumer Welfare.
Internship Report: Consumer Law Internship, NLU Ranchi
- First Phase: Submission and approval of a schematic synopsis of the research to be undertaken by the intern.
- Second Phase: Literature review, collection of resources, and timely updates on research progress.
- Third Phase: Mandatory presentation on the research undertaken at the end of the internship.
- Fourth Phase: Submission of the final report incorporating the suggestions and inputs provided during the presentation.
Last-minute rush should be avoided. Regular interaction and progress updates with the supervisor are essential.
Skills and Interests Required:
- Genuine interest in Consumer Laws.
- Strong research abilities, both qualitative and quantitative.
- Clear and effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage tasks efficiently.
- Capacity for collaborative teamwork and positive contributions to group dynamics.
- High ethical standards, academic integrity, and research honesty.
- Good project management skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to effectively use legal research tools such as Manupatra and SCC Online, etc.
- A strong understanding of legal subjects and the ability to build on this knowledge.
- Analytical ability to assess facts and laws and present them strategically.
Honorarium: Consumer Protection Law Internship
No amount will be given as an honorarium during the internship.
Application Procedure
- Interested students may apply by sending an email to ccrp@nusrlranchi.ac.in. Applications in any other format will not be entertained. Candidates must submit a detailed write-up of approximately 1,000 words on Consumer Protection Laws along with their application.
- Applications should be submitted at least one month in advance, clearly mentioning the desired internship dates.
- Once accepted for the internship, applicants must send via email a recommendation from the competent authority of the academic institution where the candidate is pursuing their studies. Applications without recommendations will not be entertained (format attached as Annexure-A) and an undertaking as mentioned in Annexure B.
