About the IP Internship in the office of CGPDTM 2025

The Law/Legal Internship 2025 for Intellectual Property Rights (IP) in the office of the Controller General of Patents, Designs and Trademarks (CGPDTM), under the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India, invites applications for its Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) Internship Program. This initiative is aligned with the National IPR Policy of India and aims to build IP awareness, promote research, and strengthen human capital in the field of Intellectual Property.

Eligibility: IPR Internship, Government of India 2025

• Students enrolled in undergraduate/postgraduate programs in Law, Science, Engineering, or related fields
• Research Scholars with an interest in IPR
• Young professionals seeking exposure to IPR frameworks

Duration: IP Office Internship 2025

45 days to 12 months (depending on availability and discretion of the CGPDTM)

• Short-term duration: 45 days
• Mid-term duration: up to 6 months
• Long duration: up to 12 months.

Location: IP Office Internship 2025

Intellectual Property Offices are located in Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, Chennai, Ahmedabad and Nagpur.

Objective: Internship at Indian Patent Office 2025

• To provide practical exposure to IP administration,
• To enhance understanding of IP laws, rules, and procedures
• To promote research in IPR in line with national policy objectives
