The Singapore Legal Service is inviting applications for its upcoming internship cycle (Nov 2025 – Feb 2026). Open to LLB and JD students enrolled in a recognised university under the Legal Profession (Qualified Persons) Rules, this internship offers a unique window into legal work across government agencies such as the AGC, Ministry of Law, Legal Aid Bureau, and more.
Internships are structured around university vacation periods, and interns receive a monthly allowance (prorated to actual working days). A formal application form is required, along with adherence to the accompanying guidance notes.
1. Notification of Changes
Please inform the Legal Service Commission (“LSC”) Secretariat immediately if there are any changes to the information provided in your application after submission.
2. Application Requirements
The following documents must accompany each application:
- A cover letter
- An updated Curriculum Vitae (CV)
- Academic transcripts, including:
- University transcripts
- GCE ‘A’, ‘AO’, and ‘O’ Levels (or their equivalent)
Note: Incomplete applications will not be processed.
3. Application Deadline
- Every application must be submitted by the deadline specified on the LSC website.
- Late applications will not be accepted or processed.
4. Notification of Application Outcome
- All applicants will be informed of the result of their application.
- Applicants who wish to withdraw their application must notify the LSC Secretariat immediately via email.
5. Internship Duration
- The internship period will vary by department.
- Applicants must be available for the entire duration of the internship in order to be considered.
6. Commitment Requirement
- If an intern fails to comply with the full duration commitment, the Legal Service may terminate or withdraw the internship based on departmental recommendation.
7. Internship Allowance & Expenses
- Interns will receive an internship allowance.
- However, all travel and transport expenses related to the internship will be borne solely by the intern.
