About NUSRL Journal of Law and Policy

The NUSRL Journal of Law and Public Policy (ISSN: 2349‑9982) is a flagship annual publication of the National University of Study and Research in Law (NUSRL), Ranchi. It is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal that serves as a forum for scholarly writing on issues intersecting law, governance, and public policy.

Categories of Submission

• Research Articles: 5,000–8,000 words (inclusive of footnotes)
• Case Commentaries / Legislative Briefs: 2,500–3,000 words
• Book Reviews: approx. 2,000 words
• All submissions must be accompanied by an abstract of not more than 250 words and 5 keywords.
• Co-authorship up to 2 is permissible.

Formatting & Citation Guidelines

• Format: MS Word (.doc/.docx only)
• Font: Times New Roman, size 12, 1.5 spacing; Footnotes size 10, single spacing
• Citation: Bluebook (21st Edition)
• Plagiarism Limit: Not exceeding 10%

Deadline for submission: October 31, 2025 (11:59 PM IST) • Expected publication: December 2025

Review Process

All submissions undergo a double-blind peer review. The Editorial Board reserves the right to reject manuscripts that fail to meet the submission guidelines or academic standards. Selected authors may be asked to revise their manuscripts as per reviewers’ comments.
