Eligibility Criteria: Justice K V Viswanathan Internship

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

• Undergraduate law students (2nd year or above in a 3-year program, 4th year or above in a 5-year program).
• Postgraduate law students.

Important: Applications will be accepted and reviewed on a rolling basis. Candidates should ideally apply five weeks prior to their intended start date.

Selection Process

• Applicants will undergo a telephonic or virtual interview.
• Confirmations will be communicated 2–4 weeks before the internship begins.

Orientation Program

At the commencement of the internship, selected interns will attend an orientation session covering essential procedures, policies, and tools. Interns will also be provided with templates and protocols to help them navigate their responsibilities effectively.

Internship Responsibilities

Interns will be expected to engage in tasks such as:

• Briefing matters.
• Conducting in-depth legal research and drafting memos/notes.
• Attending court proceedings and preparing detailed minutes.

Code of Conduct

Interns must maintain strict confidentiality and professionalism throughout the internship. All information obtained during the internship must be handled discreetly, and interns are expected to uphold the highest standards of integrity and excellence.

Internship Schedule

• Internships will commence on the 1st of every month (unless otherwise specified).
• Duration: Full-time, in-person internship.
