ToggleAbout Allahabad High Court Judicial Internship 2025
The High Court of Judicature at Allahabad has announced its Law Internship Program for law students at Prayagraj and Lucknow benches. This internship provides an excellent opportunity for law students to gain first-hand exposure to court proceedings, legal research, and judicial work. The internship is non-remunerative and will be offered for a minimum period of four weeks, extendable up to six weeks based on performance.
Eligibility Criteria for Allahabad High Court Internship
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Must be enrolled in a law degree program recognized by the Bar Council of India.
- For 5-year law program: Students in 4th or 5th year may apply.
- For 3-year law program: Students in 2nd or 3rd year may apply.
- Students who have appeared for the sixth semester (5-year course) or first year exam (3-year course) may also apply, subject to a good academic record.
- Must have completed at least two prior internships of 4 weeks each with a lawyer, law firm, or court.
- Should have basic computer skills and be proficient in legal research, online databases, and MS Office applications.
- Must maintain a strong academic and co-curricular record.
How to Apply for the Allahabad High Court Internship 2025
- Applications must be submitted online only through the official web link.
- Applications may be made up to 3 months before the proposed start date.
- Required documents:
- Semester/term marksheets (first three years of 5-year course or all terms of 3-year course).
- Forwarding letter from college/university mentioning period of internship and area of interest.
- Certificates of previous internships.
- Valid student ID card issued by the institution.
- After submission, applicants will receive a unique Application ID for future reference.
- Shortlisted candidates may be called for an online interview via video conferencing.
Internship Conditions and Guidelines
- Minimum duration: 4 weeks, extendable up to 6 weeks with approval.
- Internship will be under the guidance of Hon’ble Chief Justice or Hon’ble Judge.
- Interns must maintain confidentiality, integrity, and discipline at the High Court.
- Dress Code: Black trousers, white shirt, black coat, tie & shoes (or white salwar suit with black blazer and footwear).
- Interns must be punctual, follow courtroom etiquette, and avoid loitering in court premises.
- The program is non-remunerative; interns must bear their own stay, travel, and lodging expenses.
- Upon successful completion, interns will receive an Internship Certificate issued by the High Court.
Discontinuation Policy
Violation of internship rules will result in immediate termination without notice, and the intern will lose the right to receive a certificate.
