The Centre for Trade and Investment Law (CTIL) is inviting applications for its prestigious internship programme designed for undergraduate and postgraduate law students. The CTIL internship offers a deep dive into the world of international trade and economic law. Selected interns will work on diverse projects related to:

- Preferential trade agreements (PTAs) and bilateral trade policies
- International investment law and investor-state dispute mechanisms
- International trade regulations and policy research

The Centre for Trade and Investment Law, operating under the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT), serves as a leading think tank dedicated to advancing research and capacity-building in international trade and investment law. Eligibility Criteria: WTO Law Internship
The internship is open to law students in the advanced stages of their degree — both undergraduate (LL.B.) and postgraduate (LL.M.).
Preference will be given to candidates who have completed courses in:
- World Trade Organization (WTO) Law, and
- Public International Law
This ensures that selected interns possess a foundational understanding of international legal frameworks before engaging in research and analysis.
Internship Mode and Experience
CTIL internships are now offered in physical mode, allowing students to experience direct collaboration with faculty, researchers, and policymakers.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, CTIL successfully facilitated remote internships for over 200 students across India, demonstrating its commitment to providing flexible, technology-driven learning experiences even in challenging times.
