About the MPSLSA Winter Internship 2026

The Madhya Pradesh State Legal Services Authority (MPSLSA), Jabalpur, has announced its Winter Internship Programme 2025–26 for law students from recognised universities and law colleges across India.

This 21-day internship is scheduled to be conducted in three batches — December 2025, January 2026, and February 2026.

About the Madhya Pradesh State Legal Services Authority (MPSLSA)

The Madhya Pradesh State Legal Services Authority, headquartered in Jabalpur, operates under the Legal Services Authorities Act, 1987, with the vision of ensuring access to justice for the marginalised and underprivileged.

The Authority organises legal awareness programmes, Lok Adalats, mediation sessions, and outreach activities across the state. It also facilitates internship programmes for law students to promote legal literacy and social responsibility.

Objective: MPSLSA Winter Internship 2025

The internship programme seeks to:

• Equip law students with hands-on knowledge of the legal aid framework in India.
• Foster awareness about rights, access to justice, and public welfare laws.
• Offer exposure to grassroots-level legal services through field visits, case studies, and interactions with stakeholders in the justice system.
• Encourage young legal minds to engage with pro bono legal work and social justice initiatives.

The internship will be organised in three separate batches as follows:

Eligibility Criteria

• Open to law students enrolled in recognized law colleges and universities in India.
• Students with a keen interest in legal aid, public service, and social justice are encouraged to apply.
• Applicants must demonstrate commitment to learning about legal institutions, ADR mechanisms, and access to justice frameworks.

Selection and Batch Strength

• A maximum of 45 interns will be selected for each batch.
• Selection will be made strictly on a first-come, first-served basis.
• Selected candidates will receive confirmation via email.

The internship will include orientation sessions, practical assignments, and field interactions to help interns understand how the legal aid machinery functions at the district and state levels.

Key Learning Outcomes

Through this internship, participants will:

1. Understand the structure and functioning of legal services authorities in India.
2. Gain exposure to ADR mechanisms, including mediation and conciliation.
3. Learn about community outreach and awareness programmes conducted under NALSA (National Legal Services Authority).
4. Participate in field visits to observe legal aid clinics, Lok Adalats, and legal literacy camps.
5. Develop a socially conscious legal perspective focusing on justice for all.
