The Supreme Court Legal Services Committee (SCLSC) has opened its internship applications on a rolling basis for December 2025, January 2026, and February 2026. This is a rare opportunity to gain insight into legal aid mechanisms, observe real court proceedings, and learn from experienced legal professionals affiliated with the Supreme Court of India.
About the SCLSC Internship Program
The Supreme Court Legal Services Committee plays a crucial role in ensuring access to justice for all under the Legal Services Authorities Act, 1987. The internship program allows selected law students to contribute to legal aid work, research relevant case laws, and assist panel lawyers in matters before the Supreme Court.
This internship is ideal for students seeking to enhance their understanding of litigation, particularly in constitutional and public interest matters.
Eligibility Criteria
Students who meet the following criteria may apply:
- 4th or 5th year students of a 5-year integrated LL.B. program
- 2nd or 3rd year students of a 3-year LL.B. program
- Must be enrolled in a recognised law school, college, or university
The program is competitive, and only motivated, academically strong applicants are shortlisted.
Application Deadline
- Applications must be submitted by the 15th of each month
- Since selections occur on a rolling basis, early applications are strongly recommended
