About National Webinar on Consumer Rights 2025, MGCL

Mar Gregorios College of Law (MGCL), in collaboration with the Centre for Human Rights, IQAC, and the Consumer Advocacy Group (CAG), is organising a national webinar to promote consumer awareness and strengthen public understanding of the Consumer Protection Act, 2019. Scheduled for 9 December 2025, this online event brings together leading experts to empower citizens with essential knowledge about consumer rights and the functioning of the Central Consumer Protection Authority (CCPA).

About Consumer Advocacy Group (CAG)

Established on 24 November 2017 under the leadership of Dr PVVS Murthy, the Consumer Advocacy Group is a non-profit, pro bono community dedicated to empowering consumers and promoting awareness of fundamental consumer rights.

CAG has rapidly expanded its presence with active sub-groups in 19 states and 1 Union Territory across India. Recently, CAG–Manipur was launched on 3 January 2025, marking another milestone in its nationwide consumer empowerment mission.

Through continuous outreach, workshops, and collaborations, CAG strives to strengthen consumer literacy and build a society where consumers can make informed and confident choices.
