ToggleAbout ILS Appellate Moot Court Competition 2026
The 2nd ILS Appellate Moot Court Competition 2026, organised by ILS Law College, is one of India’s most dynamic intra-college moot court competitions focusing on real-world appellate advocacy. Started in the academic year 2024–2025, this competition is specially designed to bridge the gap between traditional mooting and actual courtroom practices.
Unlike conventional moots, this competition trains law students in live appellate techniques, drafting strategic appeal memos, and presenting arguments as done in real courts.
Key Theme of the 2026 Edition: Civil & Criminal Advocacy
The 2nd Edition of the competition offers a dual advocacy experience:
- ✅ Ring I – Civil Appellate Advocacy
- ✅ Ring II – Criminal Appellate Advocacy
This structure allows students to gain hands-on exposure in both civil and criminal appellate procedures, making it one of the most practical moot competitions for law students in India.
Objectives of the ILS Appellate Moot 2026
- To provide realistic courtroom advocacy training
- To sharpen appellate drafting skills
- To improve oral advocacy and legal reasoning
- To help students understand actual court procedures
- To prepare future advocates for High Court & Supreme Court practice
