The Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law (RGNUL), Punjab, through its Centre for Advanced Study in International Humanitarian Law (CASH), is hosting a National Essay Writing Competition on International Refugee Law 2026. This competition offers students and young scholars a unique platform to engage with complex legal and humanitarian issues surrounding refugee rights and global displacement.
The competition is a significant event for those interested in International Law, Human Rights, and Refugee Studies.
About the Organiser (CASH, RGNUL)
The Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law (RGNUL) is one of India’s premier national law universities, established in 2006. It was the first NLU to receive ‘A’ grade accreditation by NAAC in 2015 and has consistently ranked among the top law schools in the NIRF rankings.
The Centre for Advanced Study in International Humanitarian Law (CASH), the body organising this competition, focuses on advancing research and discourse in critical areas of international law.

Cash Prizes 💰
The top three selected essays will be awarded cash prizes as follows:

Publication and Participation
- Publication: Selected essays that fulfill the eligibility requirements and style guidelines will be published in an ISBN-serialised book by the Centre for Advanced Study in International Humanitarian Law (CASH).
- Certificate: All participants fulfilling the eligibility requirements and style guidelines will be awarded a certificate of participation.
