The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) has announced its Internship Programme for 2026 for Legal, Agriculture and other domains, with the upcoming internship cycle beginning in January 2026. This internship is a golden opportunity for students who want practical exposure in food safety regulation, public policy, law, science, and administration under India’s apex food regulatory authority.
About FSSAI Internship Programme 2026
FSSAI is a statutory authority constituted under the Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006. The internship programme is designed to provide hands-on learning, policy exposure, and real-world experience to students from diverse academic backgrounds.
Interns work closely with FSSAI officials at:
- Headquarters
- Regional Offices
- National Food Laboratories
This programme runs quarterly throughout the year.
Eligibility Criteria: Who Can Apply?
Only currently enrolled students are eligible to apply.
- Full-time Graduate, Post-Graduate, or Research students
- Students enrolled in recognised Indian or foreign universities
- Applicants must be pursuing the course during the internship period
❌ Not Eligible: Students who have already completed their degree

- Food Safety & Quality Assurance
🔔 Only technically qualified students can apply for internships at FSSAI Laboratories.
Law, Management & Other Disciplines
Students from the following fields can also apply:
- Law (LL.B / LL.M)

- Finance, Taxation Law, HR, Marketing
- Journalism, Mass Communication & Public Relations
- Computer Science / IT (3rd & 4th year B.Tech/B.E only)
