Shimla Law Review Vol. VIII, 2025-26
The Shimla Law Review (SLR), a UGC-CARE-indexed law journal published by Himachal Pradesh National Law University (HPNLU), Shimla, has officially released its Call for Papers for Volume VIII (2025-26). Academicians, judges, legal professionals, research scholars, and students are invited to submit original manuscripts on contemporary socio-legal issues without any thematic restriction.
About Shimla Law Review
Shimla Law Review is an annual publication owned and published by HPNLU, Shimla. The journal aims to go beyond classroom learning by providing a platform for:
- Advanced legal scholarship
- Inter-disciplinary socio-legal analysis
- Constitutional and progressive legal discourse
Several papers published in previous volumes have been recognised internationally, including selection among the best 51 peer-reviewed papers worldwide by the Cross Examination Debate Association (USA) and citations in Prof. I. P. Massey’s book on Administrative Law.

Key Requirements
- Manuscript must be in MS Word format, double-spaced
- Abstract: 250–300 words
- Left margin: 1.5 inches
- A covering letter mentioning:
- Title of paper
- Author’s name, designation, institution
- Declaration of originality & non-submission elsewhere
Terms & Conditions
- Work must be original and unpublished
- Copyright vests with HPNLU, Shimla after publication
- Proper acknowledgment of all sources mandatory
- AI / ML generated content is strictly prohibited – manuscripts containing AI content will be rejected outrightly
