ToggleCRP Land Rights Initiative Legal Internship 2026
Law students interested in public policy, land rights, and constitutional law have a valuable Legal Internship opportunity, 2026, with the Centre for Policy Research (CPR), New Delhi, under its Land Rights Initiative (LRI). This internship offers hands-on experience in legal research, policy analysis, and legislative review.
This is a full-time, in-person internship in Delhi, open to law and social science students with an interest in land rights and social justice.

About Land Rights Initiative (LRI)
The Land Rights Initiative (LRI) was launched in November 2014 to build knowledge on land laws and rights connected to dignity and Article 21 of the Constitution of India. Its research includes:
- Mapping land legislation in India
- Legal data analytics
- Right to development
- Climate justice
The initiative focuses on strengthening land rights and promoting social justice.
CPR Legal Internship 2026: Duration and Location
- Internship Period: February 2026 to July 2026
- Minimum Duration: 1 Month
- Mode: Full-time, Offline (In-Person)
- Location: New Delhi
- Extension: Possible based on performance and project needs
Note: Remote or hybrid internships are not available.
Roles and Responsibilities of Legal Intern
Selected legal interns will work on:
- Legal and policy research on land rights
- Reviewing and summarising case laws and legislation
- Assisting in legal writing and research documentation
- Conducting literature reviews
Social science interns will assist in research, data collection, and analysis.
Eligibility Criteria for CPR Legal Internship
Essential Qualifications
Candidates must:
- Be enrolled in:
- 5-year law course (3rd year or above), OR
- 3-year LL.B. course (2nd year or above)
- Have legal research experience
- Be proficient in:
- SCC Online
- Manupatra
- Legal commentaries and government sources
- Have strong legal writing skills
Preferred Qualifications
Preference will be given to candidates with:
- Publications on land law, constitutional law, or rights
- Experience in legal writing or data analysis
- Interest in land rights and public policy
