About Lokpal of India

The Lokpal of India is a statutory anti-corruption authority established to promote transparency and accountability in public administration. It investigates corruption cases involving public officials and works toward strengthening preventive vigilance mechanisms.

Period of Engagement

• Initial contract for 1 year
• Extendable for one additional year based on performance
• Maximum tenure: 2 years (cannot exceed)

Eligibility & Qualification Criteria

✔ Age Limit

• Maximum 32 years as on the closing date (28 February 2026)

✔ Educational Qualification (Essential)

• Bachelor’s Degree in Law
• Minimum 55% aggregate marks
• Degree from a recognized University/Institution

✔ Skills Required

• Proficiency in:
  • MS Word
  • MS Excel
  • PowerPoint
• Strong research aptitude
• Interest in anti-corruption laws and public accountability

Scope of Work

Young Professionals will assist in research and analytical functions related to corruption and vigilance matters.

Key Responsibilities:

• Research and data analysis
• Drafting:
  • Reports
  • Status papers
  • Briefs
  • Minutes of meetings
• Preparing training modules
• Assisting Judicial & Administrative Divisions
• Attending meetings, seminars, and conferences
• Case law analysis under:
  • Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988
  • CVC Act
  • Delhi Special Police Establishment Act
• Research on preventive vigilance initiatives

The nature of work may be modified depending on functional requirements.

Honorarium

• ₹40,000 per month (Lumpsum)
• No additional allowances admissible

Leave & Service Conditions

• 15 days leave per calendar year
• 1.25 days leave per completed month
• Government holidays applicable
• Subject to discipline rules of Lokpal of India
• Covered under:
  • Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace Act, 2013
• Mandatory Non-Disclosure Undertaking
• No other employment permitted without prior written approval

Termination Conditions

• 8 days unauthorized absence → Automatic termination
• Lokpal may terminate without notice
• One-month notice normally applicable from either side
• Arbitration disputes to be resolved by Lokpal-appointed arbitrator
