ToggleSIAC Institutional Arbitration Course 2026 at NLSIU: Apply Before 27 March
Law students and legal professionals interested in international arbitration now have an opportunity to gain practical knowledge through a specialised elective course offered by National Law School of India University in collaboration with the Singapore International Arbitration Centre.
The third edition of the “SIAC and Institutional Arbitration” elective course aims to provide participants with a clear understanding of how arbitration institutions function and how international commercial disputes are handled in practice.
Overview of the Course
This short-term module focuses on the practice and theory of institutional arbitration. Participants will learn how arbitration institutions administer disputes, manage arbitration proceedings, and influence global dispute resolution practices.
The course will be conducted in-person at the NLSIU campus in Bengaluru from 20 April to 23 April 2026. The sessions will be delivered by experts from arbitration institutions, leading law firms, and experienced arbitration practitioners.

The course will be convened by Matthew Brown, Deputy Registrar at SIAC, along with a panel of experienced professionals from arbitration institutions and legal practice.
Eligibility Criteria
Applications are open to individuals interested in the field of arbitration, including:
- Undergraduate and postgraduate law students from recognised universities in India
- Legal professionals and academics interested in dispute resolution and arbitration
However, students currently enrolled at NLSIU are not eligible, as the internal selection process for them has already been completed.
Course Fee
The programme fee structure is as follows:
- Students: ₹10,000 + 18% GST
- Working Professionals: ₹20,000 + 18% GST
The fee includes:
- Study and reading materials
- Meals during the programme at the university
- Certificate of participation
Participants should note that the programme is non-residential, so travel and accommodation must be arranged independently.
Application Process
Interested candidates must complete the online application process before 27 March 2026.
Selection will be based on:
- Academic or professional background
- Statement of purpose submitted with the application
- Maintaining diversity among participants
Shortlisted candidates will receive confirmation in early April 2026.
