The School of Legal Studies, Moot Court Committee, K.R. Mangalam University, Gurugram, proudly announces the 1st Justice K. Subba Rao Memorial Inter-University Moot Court Competition, 2026. This national-level moot court competition aims to promote excellence in legal research, advocacy skills, and courtroom practice among law students across India.

Designed as a rigorous academic exercise, the competition offers participants a unique opportunity to engage with contemporary legal issues while gaining practical exposure to real-world litigation and advocacy.

About Justice K. Subba Rao Memorial Moot Court Competition

This prestigious moot court competition is instituted in memory of Justice K. Subba Rao, former Chief Justice of India, renowned for his landmark contributions to constitutional law and the protection of fundamental rights.

Objectives of the Competition:

• To honour the judicial legacy of Justice K. Subba Rao
• To strengthen mooting, research, and drafting skills
• To bridge the gap between legal theory and courtroom practice
• To provide exposure to professional advocacy standards
