The National Law University Delhi (NLUD) has announced in 2026 contractual recruitment for two full-time positions in its prestigious Joint LL.M./Master’s Programme in Intellectual Property (IP) Law and Management. The engagement is for one year, with the possibility of extension based on performance and availability of funds.

  • World Intellectual Property Organisation (WIPO)
  • Office of the Controller General of Patents, Designs & Trade Marks (CGPDTM – Indian IP Office)

The positions are based at the NLU Delhi campus, Dwarka, New Delhi.

About the Joint LL.M. / M.A. in Intellectual Property Law & Management

Available Positions at NLU Delhi

Assistant Professor (Intellectual Property Law)

  • Number of Posts: 01
  • Monthly Remuneration: ₹90,000 (TDS @ 10% applicable)
  • Nature: Full-time, contractual (1 year)

Associate (Administration)

  • Number of Posts: 01
  • Monthly Remuneration: ₹50,000 (TDS @ 10% applicable)
  • Nature: Full-time, contractual (1 year)

Eligibility Criteria (Post-wise)

✅ Assistant Professor (IP Law)

Essential Qualifications

  • LL.M. in Intellectual Property Rights with minimum 55% marks
  • UGC-NET / SLAT (Law) or Ph.D. as per UGC Regulations
  • Minimum 2 years of teaching or research experience in IP Law
  • Quality publications in Intellectual Property Rights

Key Responsibilities

  • Teaching in the WIPO-NLUD-IPO Joint LL.M. Programme
  • Assisting in academic planning and programme implementation
  • Supporting research, supervision, and other IP-related academic work
  • Any additional responsibilities assigned by the Programme Director or University

Associate (Administration)

Essential Qualifications

  • Graduate degree in any discipline with minimum 55% marks
  • At least 3 years of administrative or project coordination experience
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Key Responsibilities

  • Academic and administrative support to the IP programme
  • Maintenance of official records, registers, files, and digital data
  • Financial assistance including salary preparation, TDS, and budgeting
  • Handling RTI, legal, vigilance, and court-related matters
  • Coordination of events, admissions, examinations, and academic activities
  • Any other duties assigned by the University or Programme Director

Remuneration & Contract Terms

  • Fixed monthly remuneration (no additional allowances or perks)
  • TDS @ 10% will be deducted under Section 194J of the Income Tax Act, 1961
  • Initial appointment for one year
  • Extension subject to:
    • Satisfactory performance
    • Availability of funds under the programme

Selection Process

  • Applications will be screened and shortlisted
  • Only shortlisted candidates will be invited for an interview
  • Meeting eligibility criteria does not guarantee an interview
  • Final decision rests solely with NLU Delhi
