Solventia – Journal of Insolvency & Bankruptcy Laws (e-ISSN: 3108-2548) is a bi-annual, double-blind peer-reviewed academic journal dedicated to advancing research and scholarship in the field of insolvency and bankruptcy law. The journal encourages critical discussions, policy analysis, and innovative legal research on both domestic and international insolvency frameworks.

The Editorial Board of Solventia invites original and unpublished manuscripts for Volume III, Issue 2 from:

- Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code (IBC) developments
- Corporate insolvency resolution processes
- Cross-border insolvency issues

- Policy-oriented and jurisdiction-specific insolvency topics
- Emerging trends in restructuring and bankruptcy law
Categories of Submissions
Authors may submit manuscripts under the following categories:
Long Articles
- Word Limit: 6,000–8,000 words
- Footnotes excluded from word count
Short Articles
- Word Limit: 3,000–6,000 words
- Footnotes excluded from word count
Case Notes and Book Reviews
- Word Limit: 1,500–2,000 words
- Footnotes excluded from word count
Important Submission Guidelines
Authors must ensure compliance with the following requirements:
- A maximum of three authors may co-author a manuscript.
- Submissions must fall within the scope of insolvency and bankruptcy law.
- Every manuscript must include an abstract of not more than 200 words.
- Manuscripts should not contain a table of contents.
- Numbered paragraphs should not be used.
- Author details must be provided separately during submission.
- The manuscript file must not contain the author’s name, affiliation, or any identifying information.
- Submissions must be made in Microsoft Word format (.doc or .docx).
- The manuscript must be original and unpublished.
- Simultaneous submission to another journal is not permitted.
Citation and Formatting Requirements
Authors must strictly follow:
- OSCOLA (Oxford Standard for Citation of Legal Authorities), 4th Edition
- Use only footnotes for citations.
- Non-compliance with OSCOLA standards may result in rejection during the preliminary review stage.
- Speaking footnotes should be avoided except where necessary for definitions or brief clarifications.
Plagiarism and AI Usage Policy
To maintain academic integrity, the journal follows strict standards:
- Maximum permissible plagiarism: 10%
- Maximum permissible AI-generated content: 10%
Any manuscript exceeding these limits may be rejected during the review process.
Editorial Review Process
Solventia follows a rigorous three-stage blind review process.
Key features include:
- Review period of approximately eight weeks after the submission deadline.
- Editorial decisions are based solely on the final manuscript submitted.
- Abstract-only or proposal-based evaluations are not entertained.
- Authors may be requested to revise manuscripts based on editorial feedback.
- Acceptance may be conditional upon incorporation of suggested changes.
- The Editorial Board reserves the right to accept or reject submissions at its discretion.
Copyright Policy
Upon publication:
- Copyright and publication rights vest with National Law University, Jodhpur.
- Authors grant the journal the necessary rights to publish, distribute, and reproduce the work in both print and digital formats.
- Any subsequent publication, reproduction, or derivative use requires prior permission from Solventia.
