About CERC Internship Scheme

Central Electricity Regulatory Commission @ CERC, New Delhi, offers an internship scheme as an opportunity for a student to secure firsthand and practical work experience under the guidance of a qualified and experienced Supervisor/Mentor. It also aims at active participation in the learning process through experimentation and putting into practice the knowledge acquired in the classroom.

Eligibility: CERC Summer Law Internship

  • Bonafide students at any recognized University/Institution within India or abroad, fulfilling the following conditions, are eligible to apply for the internship.
  • The applicant should be Under undergraduate (pursuing a bachelor’s degree or less) or
  • pursuing post-graduation or equivalent in Engineering/ Management/ Law/Economics/ Finance in a recognized University/institution.

Duration

The period of Internship shall be at least four weeks but not exceeding six months.

How to Apply: CERC Legal Internship

Interested applicants may send their applications in the prescribed format to

  1. the Assistant Secretary (P&A), Ground Floor, Chanderlok Building, 36, Janpath, New Delhi through their College/Institution.  Application shall be made at least one month before the expected date of commencement of internship period and not more than 3 months in advance.
  2. Applicants must also clearly indicate the area of interest.
  3. A candidate can apply for internship only once during a financial Year.
  4. The applicants who do not fulfil the eligibility conditions, their applications shall be rejected.
  5. The selected applicant has to produce original mark sheets and NOC from
  6. the college / institution at the time of joining, failing which his/her candidature shall be cancelled.

Selection Procedure: CERC Legal Internship 2025

All applications will be scrutinized by the CERC. Intimation will be sent to selected interns subject to availability of slots, consent of the concerned Division and approval of the Competent authority. The interns will be given specific project, which can be identified by the Commission/Divisional heads
