About

The Chair on Consumer Law at National Law University, Delhi, was established in 2019 by the Department of Consumer Affairs, Government of India, as a think tank on consumer law and policy. It undertakes advocacy, research, and capacity-building for students, professionals, government officials, consumer fora members, and NGOs. The Chair organizes legal aid and awareness camps, offers short-term certificate courses in Consumer Law & Practice, and reviews draft laws, rules, and judicial pronouncements to strengthen policy frameworks. Through research and outreach, it supports policymakers and promotes robust consumer protection. More details are available on the Chair’s official website.
