About the TNLRC Volunteer Programme 2025
The Tamil Nadu Legal Rights Consortium (TNLRC) offers a 4-week online/Virtual Volunteer Programme – December 2025 Batch. This initiative offers undergraduate law students the opportunity to contribute to legal awareness, human rights advocacy, and social empowerment projects while gaining practical exposure to field-based and research-driven work, aimed at empowering young women in law through research, outreach, and social engagement.

About the Tamil Nadu Legal Rights Consortium (TNLRC)
The Tamil Nadu Legal Rights Consortium is a non-profit initiative dedicated to promoting legal literacy, gender equality, and access to justice in Tamil Nadu and beyond.
Through collaborations, research projects, and outreach programmes, TNLRC aims to bridge the gap between law, society, and policy implementation, empowering individuals to know and claim their rights.
The Consortium’s focus lies in building a generation of legally aware, socially responsible citizens—especially women—who can drive positive change in their communities.

Volunteer Teams & Responsibilities
Participants will work in teams that focus on distinct but interconnected areas of social impact and legal awareness.
1. Research Team
- Draft articles, blog posts, and social media content on pressing legal and human rights issues.
- Conduct policy-based research on gender justice, women’s rights, and access to justice.
- Contribute to the Consortium’s legal awareness campaigns and digital initiatives.
2. Outreach Team
- Collaborate with schools, colleges, and women’s shelters to organise awareness sessions.
- Conduct interactive workshops on legal literacy, gender equality, and fundamental rights.
- Assist in the creation of educational resources for marginalised communities.
3. Social Media Team
- Manage and design engaging posts, infographics, and awareness campaigns for online platforms.
- Develop communication strategies to reach wider audiences through storytelling and digital advocacy.
Eligibility Criteria
- Open exclusively to female undergraduate law students enrolled in recognised Indian universities.
- Applicants should demonstrate a strong interest in social justice, human rights, and gender equality.
- Students in their 1st, 2nd, or 3rd year of LL.B. (3-year or 5-year programme) are eligible to apply.
Learning Outcomes
By joining this programme, volunteers will:
- Gain practical experience in research, outreach, and communication
- Develop skills in drafting, teamwork, and legal advocacy

- Receive an E-Certificate of Completion from TNLRC
