The National Law School of India University (NLSIU) has announced multiple vacancies under its new Clinical Legal Education (CLE) and Litigation Fellowship 2026 initiatives. Supported by a multi-year grant from the Azim Premji Foundation, the project aims to strengthen legal education, promote access to justice, and support early-career trial court lawyers across India, especially in Karnataka.
Five New Legal Clinics Under the Programme
NLSIU will establish dedicated clinics in the following areas:
- Child Rights Law
- Citizenship and Immigration Law
- Criminal Justice
- Labour Law
- Caste Justice
These clinics will operate under the newly formed Office of Clinics and Fellowships, led by the Director of Clinics & Fellowships.
Litigation Fellowship Programme
The grant also funds a nationwide fellowship for young trial court lawyers, offering financial support, mentorship, and professional training to boost grassroots litigation.
