West Bengal State Legal Services Authority (WBSLSA) offers Winter Internship Programme 2025-2026 for Law Student & LLM Students. internships with State Legal Services Authorities (SLSAs) offer a unique, socially immersive experience. The West Bengal State Legal Services Authority (WBSLSA) has a structured Internship Policy designed to bridge the gap between legal theory and the ground reality of access to justice.
Eligibility Criteria for Interns
- Open to law students in their second, third, or final years, as well as LL.M. students and Ph.D. scholars.
- Previous interns with WBSLSA are not eligible for a second internship.
Internship Duration and Structure
- Internships are conducted in two cycles: Summer (May-June) and Winter (December-January).
- Each internship lasts for three weeks, requiring interns to be present at District Legal Services Authorities (DLSAs).
Application Process and Requirements
- Applications must be submitted within one week of the notification on the WBSLSA website.
- A letter of recommendation from the educational institution is required.
Responsibilities and Conduct During Internship
- Interns must maintain decorum and respect while interacting with legal professionals and institutions.
- They are required to observe various legal processes and report on their experiences.
Confidentiality and Attendance
- Interns must maintain confidentiality regarding all information encountered during the internship.
- A certificate of completion is issued only for satisfactory attendance throughout the internship period.
