About Bennett University and CTIL Moot Court Competition 2026

The III CTIL–Bennett International Moot Court Competition 2026 is set to be one of India’s most prestigious international law competitions, focusing on the highly relevant field of International Trade Law. Hosted by the School of Law, Bennett University, Greater Noida, in collaboration with the Centre for Trade and Investment Law (CTIL), this event will bring together bright legal minds from across India and abroad.

Scheduled from 6th to 8th February 2026, the competition promises rigorous advocacy, global exposure, and exceptional learning opportunities for law students.

About Bennett University and CTIL

Bennett University, established by the Times Group, is known for its strong academic foundation, innovation-driven teaching, and global collaborations. The School of Law at Bennett University offers integrated law programs, including B.A. LL.B., B.B.A. LL.B., LL.M., and PhD.

The Centre for Trade and Investment Law (CTIL) was established by the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India, to strengthen India’s participation in international trade negotiations and dispute resolution. It also acts as the India Chair for the WTO Chairs Programme.

Theme of the Competition 2026

The official theme for the 2026 edition is: International Trade Law

This theme allows participants to explore legal challenges related to:

  • Global trade regulations
  • WTO agreements
  • Cross-border commercial disputes
  • State responsibility and foreign trade policies

Participants will analyze real-world trade conflicts and present arguments through written memorials and oral advocacy.

Eligibility Criteria

Students eligible to participate include:

  • Students enrolled in:
    • 5-Year Integrated LL.B. programs
    • 3-Year LL.B. programs (India)
    • 4 or 5-Year Integrated Law Programs (Foreign Universities)
  • Each team must consist of:
    • 2 Speakers
    • 1 Researcher

✅ Maximum teams allowed: 40 teams (First-come, first-served basis)
