Supreme Court Observer (SCO) reports on and makes sense of the Supreme Court of India. We track selected cases: access and share court submissions; produce daily reports of court proceedings; and analyse decisions in plain language. We seek to enable common citizens to develop an understanding of the role of the Court in Indian public life through contemporaneous reporting and by exploring a living archive of the Court’s work.
About the Programme
Our full-time in-person internship programme gives students the opportunity to get hands-on experience in legal research and journalism as well as conducting logistical and administrative tasks. The programme is designed to provide interns with opportunities for learning and developing their skills. The intern will assist in the production of content for various parts of the website, including analytical posts, case pages, judge profiles and posts on Court procedures.
Eligibility
- 4th or 5th-year students in a 5-year law course
- 2nd or 3rd-year students in a 3-year law course
- Final-year students interested in legal journalism pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in any subject
The minimum duration of the internship is one month.
