Eligibility: Judge Dr. Radha Binod Pal Essay Writing Competition

The competition is open to students pursuing their bachelor’s degree in law (5 years/ 3 Years) from any recognized university in India or abroad.

Submission guidelines

Word Limit:

The essay should be between 3,000 and 5,000 words (excluding footnotes).

Format: Submissions must adhere to the following formatting guidelines:

  • Font: Times New Roman
  • Font Size: 12 o Line Spacing: 1.5
  • Footnotes: Times New Roman, font size 10, single-spaced
  • Citation Style: Bluebook (latest edition). [Citations are mandatory and should be in the form of footnotes following a uniform format
  1. Essays must be submitted in PDF format. The essay’s main body must not include any personal details of the author.
  2. Co-authorship is not allowed; only single-authored essays will be accepted.
  3. All submitted documents will go through plagiarism checks and must be below 10 % similarity. Special consideration will be placed upon the originality, applicability and feasibility of the arguments/ suggestions made in the essay and the depth of research.

The File Name of the document must be renamed as <Essay-Name of the Author>

The prize pool for the competition is as follows:
