About Consulting Editor – Research Vacancy at NLSIU 2024

The National Law School of India University Vacancy for “Consulting Editor – Research” at (NLSIU) to support its efforts at expanding quality research across law and social sciences. This is a full-time position based in Bengaluru. 

Role of Consulting Editor – Research at NLSIU 2024

The Consulting Editor will be required to do the following:

  • Provide editorial feedback on structure, framing and language on various research outputs including reports, articles, papers, advocacy documents across centres, chairs and faculty projects as well as periodic reports and/or strategy notes as required.
  • Engage with faculty and research staff in developing research articles and book proposals.
  • Review, standardise and strengthen publishing processes at the University.
  • Develop strategy notes and build sustained partnerships with stakeholders to enhance visibility and dissemination of NLS publications.
  • Design and deliver targeted skill building programs and workshops aimed at improving writing skills of students, research staff and faculty.
  • Provide advice from time to time on newer opportunities and developments in publishing.

Qualification: NLSIU Consulting Editor

Bachelor’s degree in social sciences/media studies/journalism and related fields.

  • 8-10 years of work experience in publishing, editing and content review.
  • Experience conceptualizing research outputs including book proposals, manuscripts and journals.
  • Proven record of effectively managing multiple deadlines.
  • Proven ability of working with long form non-fiction writing.
  • Excellent communication skills.
