ToggleAbout Call for Papers for the Journal of National Law University Delhi
The Journal of National Law University Delhi is the flagship journal of National Law University (NLU) Delhi 2025. It is a general, double blind peer reviewed journal that publishes original articles in all branches of law, along with separate sections devoted to recent developments in the legislative, judicial, and policy fields, case comments, and book reviews.
Important Guidelines Regarding the Submissions
Authorship: flagship journal of National Law University (NLU) Delhi
- Co-authorship up to three authors is allowed.
- Academicians, professionals, and doctoral researchers are invited to submit their work.
Word Count
- • Short Articles typically consist of around 6000-8000 words.
- Long Articles typically consist of around 8000-10000 words.
- Notes and Comments are short pieces of less than 5000 words. These have a narrower scope of inquiry than articles and may include analysis of recent cases, legislation, or policy.
- Book reviews are generally around 2500 words. Submissions to this category must critically analyze the ideas and themes explored in the book instead of merely providing a summary of its main arguments. All the above-mentioned word counts are inclusive of footnotes.
Format and Citation
- Font type and size of the main text must be Times Roman, 12.
- Font type and size of the footnotes must be Times Roman, 10.
- The main text and footnotes must have a line spacing of 1.5 and 1 respectively.
- Citation style must adhere to OSCOLA (4th edition).
- Each submission (except Book Review) should be accompanied by an abstract of not more than 300 words and five keywords.
- Relevant details of the author and their affiliation would be captured only through the Google Form. The submission should not contain any reference to the identity of the author in order to enable anonymous screening and peer review.
- Manuscripts must be in MS-Word (doc./docx.) format.
- Figures should be of high quality (1200 dpi for line art, 600 dpi for grayscale and 300 dpi for colour, at the correct size). Figures should be supplied in one of our preferred file formats: EPS, PS, JPEG, TIFF, or Microsoft Word (DOC or DOCX) files are acceptable for figures that have been drawn in Word.

- JNLUD welcomes original and previously unpublished articles, notes, comments, and book reviews for publication in its upcoming issue (Vol. 11, 2025).
- Submissions for the upcoming issue will be accepted till January 15, 2025.
