The 14th Padma Vibhushan N.A. Palkhivala Memorial National Moot Court & Research Paper Competition, 2024, hosted by MNLU Mumbai, is a prestigious event that fosters legal research, advocacy, and critical thinking. Participants from law schools across India compete in simulated court proceedings, arguing complex legal cases. The competition also includes a research paper component, where students delve into legal issues and present their findings. The event is a valuable platform for aspiring legal professionals to hone their skills and gain exposure to the legal field.
The topics for this year’s Research Paper are:
- Analysis of new and old tax regimes under the Income Tax Act, of 1961
- Changes in the Reassessment Regime vide Finance Bill (2), 2024 compared to the law as it stood immediately before.
Eligibility for Participation: National Moot Court & Research Paper Competition
- All bona fide students enrolled in an undergraduate of Law i.e., 3 years/5 years from any college or university shall be eligible for participation in the competition.
- Each College/University/Institution shall be allowed to register only two teams in the competition.
- Mixed Teams formed with bona fide students enrolled in an undergraduate of Law i.e., 3 years/5 years from any college or university shall be eligible for participation in the competition.
