Qualification: Jharkhand High Court District Judge
Graduate in law from a university recognized for enrolment as an Advocate under the Advocates Act, 1961.
Age: Jharkhand High Court District Judge recruitment
- Above 35 years but below 45 years as of 31st January 2023.
- The upper age limit is relaxable by three years in the case of S.C./S.T. candidates.
Experience: Ranchi High Court District Judge Vacancy
- More than 7 years at the Bar as a practicing Advocate after having been duly enrolled as such.
- Self-attested copies of the following certificates are required to be uploaded with the application form:-
- Educational qualification from Matriculation/equivalent onwards.
- Enrolment certificate under the Advocates Act, 1961.
- Certificate of Experience at the Bar.

Preliminary Entrance Test
- The Preliminary Entrance Test shall be of 100 marks in aggregate.
- Duration of Preliminary Entrance Test shall be two hours.
- There shall be a negative marking of -1 mark (minus one) for each wrong answer.

- Examination shall be held in two sittings of three hours duration for each paper.
Viva-Voce Test: Jharkhand Higher Judiciary
- There shall be a Viva-Voce Test of 40 marks.
- The marks obtained in the Viva-Voce Test shall be added to the marks obtained in the Main Examination and the merit list shall be prepared accordingly
- No candidate irrespective of the marks obtained by him in the Main Examination shall be eligible for selection for appointment if he/she obtains less than 30% marks in the Viva-Voce Test.
Note: – Every differently abled candidate will be allowed “compensatory time” of 20 minutes for each hour of
written examination
