The Centre for Child and the Law (CCL) at the National Law School of India University (NLSIU), established on April 1, 1996, is a specialized multi-disciplinary research centre focusing on child rights law. CCL integrates research, direct field action, and teaching to ensure social justice, human rights, and quality of life for all children in India, especially marginalized and excluded groups.

Essential: Bachelor’s degree in law, social science or related field.
Desirable: Master‘s degree in Law, social science or related field.
Experience
Essential: Candidates with 1 to 3 years of work experience in the social development sector with a focus on research and policy advocacy.
Skills and competencies
Essential:
- Demonstrated experience in generating quality research reports.
- Excellent communication skills in English.
- Ability to travel within and outside Karnataka.
- Excellent planning and prioritisation skills.

Responsibilities
- Research and documentation support for the programme on the right to food and nutrition.
- Data collection, compilation and analysis.
- Assistance for the drafting of legal documents.
- Preparation of reports.
- Documentation and generation of knowledge products based on the research outputs.
Qualification: NLSIU Assistant Legal Researcher
Essential: Bachelor’s degree in law/legal studies.
Desirable: Master ‘s degree in Law, social science or related field.
