NLU Delhi invites call for expression of interest from leading practitioners and professionals for offering seminar courses in different areas of law (most likely evolving & diverse areas) in the upcoming February – June 2025 semester.
Details
- The seminar course is meant to foster advanced learning among students.
- NLU Delhi provides course instructors with complete academic freedom to design their course, teaching methods/pedagogy and course evaluation.
- We believe this freedom comes with the responsibility of ensuring higher academic consciousness. A seminar course comprises 5 credits and requires 75 hours of intensive teaching & learning.
- Hence, every seminar paper contains between 50-52 hours (min.-max.) of intensive teaching (class hours) during the semester with 2+2 hrs i.e. 4 hours/week.
- The remaining 23-25 hours comprise essential or mandatory reading hours by the students.
- No classes are held on Sundays.
Mode of Seminar
- At least 60% of classes i.e. 30 hours must be conducted physically on campus at NLU Delhi, Dwarka
- Remaining 40% i.e. 20 hours can be conducted in online mode.
Eligibility:
Eminent practitioners/professionals/academicians with at least 10 years of standing are preferred, who have demonstrated extraordinary contribution in a specialised field of law.
Important Date
- Last date of submitting EoI: 10th January 2025
- Semester Begins on: 3rd February 2025
- Last Teaching Day: 30th May 2025
Disbursement of honorarium to external course instructors:
- NLU Delhi offers external course instructors a modest honorarium of Rs. 1,25,000/- per course without any other additional benefits.
- If there are two course instructors, the amount will be equally distributed internally by the lead faculty.
- Additional remuneration for payment to any guest faculty engaged by the course instructor is not allowed.

- Please Seminar course proposals can be offered only after being approved by the Course Development Committee (CDC) and the Vice Chancellor.
