The ILS Centre for Public Law is delighted to announce the National Seminar on Constitutional Identity: Foundations, Evolution, and Future Perspectives. The seminar offers a unique opportunity for the participants to present their papers on suggestive sub-themes provided for by the Centre for Public Law.

About the Seminar: National Seminar on Constitutional Identity

The purpose and objective of the seminar on Constitutional Identity is to contribute to the intellectual discourse on the dynamism of constitutional identity and introduce its multi-dimensional and contextual nature. We are hereby releasing the call for abstracts for the same. The central theme is the same as the title of the seminar; Constitutional Identity: Foundation, Evolution, and Future Perspectives.

Suggestive sub-themes for the papers are:

  • ⁠Constitutional Identity and the Basic Structure Doctrine.
  • ⁠Constitutional Identity beyond Part III.
  • Constitutional Identity beyond Assembly debates; the contribution of the social spheres.
  • ⁠Constitutional Identity and the Marginalized; have Courts upheld dignity as identity.

It is to be noted that these themes are guidelines and not a limitation, authors can go beyond them given that they come under the scope of the central theme.
