Applications are invited from the eligible candidates for the Post-Doctoral Fellowship (PDF) 20250-2026 at Nalanda University, Rajgir Bihar in the following Schools:

Eligibility Criteria

• Persons who have a Ph.D. degree and have published research work (a minimum of five high-quality research publications) to their credit may apply for the position of Post-Doctoral Fellow at the University.
• Post-Doctoral Fellowships will be available to Indian as well as Foreign Nationals.
• The University reserves the right to admit or not to admit a Post-Doctoral Fellow.

Selection Procedure

1. The selection of the Post-Doctoral Fellow shall be made based on the research area, upon the recommendations of a Selection Committee constituted by the Authority.
2. The Competent Authority shall decide the maximum number of post-doctoral fellows to be admitted.
3. The award of Post-Doctoral Fellowship will be through presentation-cum-interview or as decided by the Authority. The foreign applicants are exempted from appearing physically before the Selection Committee and may be interviewed online.

Stipends & General

1. A Post-Doctoral Fellow shall be entitled to the post-doctoral fellowship for a minimum of two semesters, and any extension shall be based upon review of the research accomplished by the Post-Doctoral Fellow during the said tenure.
2. A Post-Doctoral Fellow shall be entitled to receive an all-inclusive monthly fellowship of Rs. 75,000/- (Seventy-Five Thousand only). Hostel accommodation shall be provided by the University, and the fellow shall bear the charges towards accommodation, food, etc., as applicable as per the norms of the University. A contingency grant of Rs. 50 000/ year will be granted to the Postdoctoral Fellow.
3. The Post-Doctoral Fellow shall not accept or hold any appointment, paid or otherwise, nor receive any emoluments, salary, stipend, consultancy, etc., from any other sources during the tenure of the fellowship.
