Law students are invited to apply for a legal internship at an office located in Sector 44, Chandigarh. This internship is designed to offer practical exposure in litigation, legal research, and drafting, along with first-hand experience of court and tribunal proceedings. Interns will get the opportunity to work with advocates handling matters related to civil law, criminal law, consumer disputes, writs, motor accident claims, and other allied areas of practice.
Key Responsibilities for Interns
Selected candidates will be actively involved in:
- Conducting legal research on case laws, statutes, and recent judicial pronouncements.
- Assisting in drafting pleadings, replies, petitions, and legal notices.
- Summarizing case files, preparing briefs, and maintaining case records.
- Attending court hearings and proceedings (wherever required).
- Supporting advocates in preparing case strategies and legal opinions.
Eligibility Criteria
The internship is open to:
- Law students (preferably in their 3rd, 4th, or 5th year of the 5-year LL.B. program).
- Students with strong research and writing skills.
- Candidates with a keen interest in litigation and dispute resolution.
- Applicants having good command over English and Hindi (both written and spoken).
Location Details
- Office Address: Sector 44, Chandigarh
- Close to District Courts and well-connected via public transport, ensuring easy commute for interns.
Duration of Internship
Minimum duration: 4 weeks
Longer internships are preferred and may be extended based on performance.
Stipend Information
- Internship comes with a token stipend, depending on performance and contribution.
