The Annual National Article Writing Competition is one of Lexscribe Solutions’ flagship initiatives designed to foster critical thinking and legal research among students. The competition encourages participants to explore contemporary legal and policy issues, enhancing their analytical and writing skills.

In its previous editions, the competition engaged over 500 law students from 60+ institutions, including NLUs, Symbiosis, Amity, and other reputed universities across India.

Eligibility

The competition is open to all students pursuing UG or PG degrees in law.

Themes

Participants may write on any topic of recent legal relevance. Suggested themes include:

  • Criminal and Procedural Laws
  • Constitutional Laws
  • IPR and Technology Laws
  • Business and Labour Laws
  • Environmental, Space, and Aviation Laws
  • Any other contemporary legal issue

Submission Guidelines

  • Articles must be written in English and submitted in .doc/.docx and PDF formats.
  • Co-authorship: Maximum of two authors allowed. Multiple submissions by the same author/team will lead to disqualification.
  • Each article must include an abstract (max 200 words).
  • Word Limit: 1500–2500 words (excluding footnotes).
  • Citation: Bluebook (20th edition).
  • Formatting:
    • Headings – Times New Roman, Size 14
    • Main Body – Times New Roman, Size 12, Line Spacing 1.5
    • Footnotes – Times New Roman, Size 10, Line Spacing 1.0
    • Margins – 1 inch (2.54 cm) on all sides
