About the Justice R. Mahadevan internship

The Office of Hon’ble Mr. Justice R. Mahadevan, Judge, Supreme Court of India, is inviting applications for a full-time physical internship on a rolling basis up to January 2026. This internship provides law students with an exceptional opportunity to gain hands-on experience in legal research, case analysis, and courtroom proceedings at the highest judicial level in the country.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must be:

  • Law students in their 3rd year or above of a 5-year integrated law program, or
  • Law students in their 2nd year or above of a 3-year LL.B. program

Students meeting the above criteria and seeking a practical legal experience in the Supreme Court are strongly encouraged to apply.

Duration and Application Timeline

The internship is offered on a rolling basis until January 2026.
Interested candidates must apply by the 22nd of the month preceding their preferred month of internship.

For instance, applicants wishing to intern in December 2025 must submit their application by November 22, 2025.

Shortlisted candidates will be informed by the 24th of the preceding month, followed by a virtual interview.
