Contract Term & Extension

Termination Clause

- If the Legal Researcher remains absent for more than 7 days without approval

- Information may only be used for official duties
- Breach of confidentiality may result in termination
Working Hours & Leave PolicyOffice Timing: 09:30 AM – 05:00 PM
- Lunch Break: 01:30 PM – 02:00 PM
- Working Days: Monday to Saturday (except 2nd Saturday)
- Casual Leave: 1 leave per month (with prior permission)
- May be required to work:
- On holidays
- Beyond regular working hours (if required)
Remuneration / Salary
- Salary will be determined by the Competent Authority
- Based on:
- Merit
- Experience
- Last drawn salary
The exact amount is not fixed and will vary depending on qualifications and background.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must meet the following conditions:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LL.B.)
- Knowledge of:
- Legal Research
- Environmental Laws
- Court Procedures
- Preference given to:
- Postgraduate degree holders (LL.M.)
- Candidates with prior legal research experience
Age Limit:
- Minimum Age: 18 Years
- Maximum Age: 30 Years
Duties & Responsibilities
The engaged Legal Researcher must:
- Perform tasks assigned by the Controlling Officer
- Work with skill, efficiency, and professionalism
- Maintain discipline and integrity
- Avoid engaging in private business or professional activities that conflict with government interests
Absence & Service Conditions
- Absence exceeding 7 days without approval may result in immediate termination
- Leave must be taken with prior permission
- Strict compliance with service conditions is mandatory
Right to Engagement
The NGT reserves the right to:
- Increase or decrease the number of positions
- Cancel the recruitment process at any stage
- Not engage any candidate even after application submission
