The National Law University Tripura (NLUT) has announced a Call for Papers for the NLU Tripura Journal of Law and Policy (NLUT-JLP), Vol. II, Issue II, 2026. This peer-reviewed journal invites original and unpublished manuscripts from legal scholars, faculty members, researchers, judges, professionals, and students.

Note: NLUT-JLP accepts submissions on a rolling basis. Manuscripts received on or before 31 May 2026 will be considered for Vol. II, Issue II. Submissions after this date will be considered for Volume III, Issue III.

Categories and Word Limits for Manuscripts

NLUT-JLP accepts submissions across four categories. All word limits are exclusive of footnotes:

  • Articles: 8,000 to 10,000 words
  • Case Comments: 3,000 words
  • Legislative Reviews: 2,000 to 3,000 words
  • Book Reviews: 2,000 to 3,000 words

Submission Guidelines for NLUT-JLP 2026

Mandatory Requirements

  • Abstract: Not more than 300 words with up to 6 keywords
  • Covering Letter: Must mention title of paper, author name, designation, and institutional affiliation
  • Declaration: Solemn declaration of originality confirming the manuscript is unpublished and not submitted elsewhere
  • Originality: Plagiarized content, copyright issues, and AI generated texts will be rejected outright

Formatting Rules

  • Software: MS Office
  • Font: Times New Roman, Size 12 for main text, Size 10 for footnotes
  • Alignment: Justified
  • Line Spacing: 1.5 for main text, 1 for footnotes

Editorial Policy

The decision on acceptance for publication will be that of the Editorial Board and shall be final. The Editorial Board reserves the right of publication and may reject a manuscript in the final stages.
