The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) has announced its Online Short Term Internship Programme (OSTI) for May 2026. Conducted from 18th to 29th May 2026, this 2-week online program aims to create awareness among university students about the protection and promotion of Human Rights in India.
Since 1998, NHRC has been conducting internship programmes under Section 12(h) of the Protection of Human Rights Act, 1993 to engage students in human rights advocacy and research.

Who Can Apply? Eligibility Criteria for NHRC Internship 2026
To apply for NHRC’s May 2026 Online Internship, students must meet the following criteria:
- Course Level:
- Students in 3rd year and above of a 5-year integrated PG course
- Students in 3rd/final year of a graduation course
- Students of any semester/year of a post-graduate degree course, including 3-year LL.B
- Students of any semester/year of a post-graduate diploma course
- Research scholars in any stream
- Academic Requirement:
- Minimum 60% marks in Class XII
- Minimum 60% marks in first 4 semesters of graduation/integrated course
- Must clearly mention calculated percentage from CGPA/SGPA with conversion formula. Applications without this will be rejected.
