About the DPIIT-IPR Chair at NLUJAA
The DPIIT-IPR Chair at NLUJAA was established in 2018 under the SPRIHA Scheme of the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Government of India. The Chair focuses on promoting awareness, education, and research in the field of Intellectual Property Rights (IPR), particularly in the North-East region of India.

The DPIIT-IPR Chair at NLUJAA, in collaboration with The LawCademy, has announced its 1st International Article Writing Competition 2026. The competition invites students, academicians, researchers, legal professionals, and policymakers to contribute scholarly work on contemporary issues in Intellectual Property Law.
The competition adopts an interdisciplinary and international approach by integrating law, economics, policy, technology, and innovation studies.
