About the Project Director Role

The selected candidate will lead the day-to-day operations and strategic implementation of the WILL Initiative. The position requires strong leadership, project management, research, and stakeholder engagement skills.

Major Responsibilities

Project Leadership

  • Lead and manage the overall implementation of the WILL Initiative.
  • Ensure successful execution of project objectives and deliverables.
  • Monitor progress and maintain project quality standards.

Research and Policy Development

  • Design and supervise research studies undertaken under the initiative.
  • Develop research methodologies and study frameworks.
  • Review research outputs and policy documents.
  • Coordinate with research teams for final publications and reports.

Team Management

  • Supervise Senior Research Associates and Research Associates.
  • Coordinate national and state-level project teams.
  • Establish effective workflows and reporting systems.

Project Planning and Monitoring

  • Develop project timelines and implementation schedules.
  • Track milestones and ensure timely completion of activities.
  • Prepare progress reports for institutional leadership.

Financial Coordination

  • Work closely with the Project Finance Manager.
  • Assist in project budget planning and financial monitoring.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Collaborate with:
    • Regulatory bodies
    • Professional legal associations
    • Judicial stakeholders
    • Women’s legal networks
    • Government ministries
    • Civil society organizations

Reporting Responsibilities

  • Provide periodic updates to the Faculty Director.
  • Support university leadership in achieving project goals.
  • Take responsibility for meeting project outcomes and targets.

Educational Qualifications

Essential Qualifications

Applicants must possess:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LL.B.)
  • Minimum 10 years of post-qualification professional experience
  • Demonstrated experience in project management
  • Proven leadership and team management skills

Preferred Qualifications

Candidates with the following qualifications will be preferred:

  • Master’s Degree in Law, Social Sciences, Humanities, or related disciplines
