HNLU Wins BW Education Award for Excellence in Research and Innovation
Raipur, 22 August 2026: Hidayatullah National Law University (HNLU), Raipur, has received the BW Education Award for Excellence in Research and Innovation at the BW Education Power Players Award Ceremony 2026. The recognition highlights HNLU’s efforts to build a strong, interdisciplinary and impact-focused research ecosystem.
HNLU Research and Innovation Model
The award recognises HNLU’s Research Hub and Spoke Model (R-HaS), an institutional initiative designed to strengthen collaborative research and innovation. The model brings together faculty members, students, researchers and academic institutions while encouraging engagement with government bodies, industry, the judiciary and international partners.
Unlike traditional research structures that often focus on individual academic projects, R-HaS promotes a connected research ecosystem aimed at addressing contemporary legal and societal challenges.
Research Hub and Spoke Model at HNLU
Launched in 2023 under the leadership of Prof. (Dr.) V. C. Vivekanandan, Vice-Chancellor of HNLU, the R-HaS initiative has become an important part of the University’s research framework.

Focus on Impact-Oriented Research

Award Ceremony and Recognition
The award was received on behalf of HNLU by Dr. Anita Singh, Faculty Member, HNLU, from Dr. Anurag Batra, Chairman and Editor-in-Chief of BW Businessworld, during the award ceremony.
Prof. (Dr.) V. C. Vivekanandan congratulated the HNLU community and acknowledged the contribution of faculty members, researchers, students and the University’s Research Centres in developing the R-HaS ecosystem.
