- Second- and third-year students of a three-year LLB programme.
- Third-, fourth- and fifth-year students of a five-year integrated LLB programme.
- Students pursuing postgraduate studies in law.
Applicants should be full-time law students and must provide the required academic and institutional documents with their application.
Internship Duration
The internship programme has a duration of 15 to 30 days.
Internship batches commence on either:
- The 1st day of a month; or
- The 16th day of a month.
Students should therefore plan their applications according to the available internship slot and prescribed commencement dates.
Selection Process
The preferred capacity for each internship batch is approximately 20 students. Where applications exceed the available number of seats, candidates may be selected on the basis of comparative merit.
Factors considered may include:
- Academic performance.
- Previous semester results.
- Overall suitability for the internship programme.
The Academy retains the discretion to reject an application. It may also discontinue an intern’s participation where the student is found to have engaged in indiscipline or conduct inconsistent with the rules of the institution.
Dress Code
Applicants should note that the Academy maintains a formal campus environment. Casual wear is not permitted on the Academy campus. Interns are therefore expected to follow the prescribed professional standards of dress and conduct throughout their internship.
How to Apply for the Internship
Candidates are required to obtain and complete the prescribed internship application form available through the Academy’s official website.
The completed application should be submitted to the Director of the Kerala Judicial Academy at least three weeks before the proposed commencement date.
Applicants are required to attach supporting documents, including:
- A certificate from the concerned college or university confirming that the applicant is a bona fide student.
- Mark sheets or mark lists of the immediately preceding two semesters.
- The completed prescribed application form.
