About NHRC Online Short-Term Internship 2024
The NHRC Invite for Online Short-Term Internship 2024 National Human Rights Commission has expressly been mandated to promote Human Rights literacy and awareness vide Section 12 (h) of the Protection of Human Rights Act, 1993. To spread awareness among university students about the need for protection and promotion of Human Rights, the Commission has been regularly conducting Internship Programmes since 1998.
Eligibility criteria for NHRC Online Short-Term Internship 2024
- Students studying in 3rd year and onwards of any integrated 5-year PG Course
- Students studying in 3rd / final year of a graduation course
- Students of any semester/ year of any post–graduate degree course (also applicable to the students in a year’s LL. B program).
- Students of any semester/ year of any post–graduate diploma course
- Students who are research scholars in any stream.
- Students must have consistently attained a minimum of 60% marks in Class XII and all subsequent years in attended degree or diploma courses, including the presently pursued courses. The calculated percentage has to be mentioned clearly from their CGPA/SGPA along with the formula for the percentage obtained. Failure to do either of them would result in the rejection of the application form.
Duration of NHRC Online Short-Term Internship 2024
For August 2024, a two-week “Online Short-Term Internship Programme – August 2024 (OSTI- August 2024)” will commence from 5th August to 16th August 2024. Applications are invited from eligible students from the entire country.
Important Instructions
A 250-word write–up on the topic “Statement of Purpose for joining NHRC Online Short-Term Internship” will be required to be submitted by the applicants online along with the application form which will also serve as a basis for selection. Students who have research potential in the areas relating to human rights will be preferred (to be indicated in the write–up). The students may also include the details of co–curricular activities, Moot Courts, Internships, and research projects to strengthen their application.
