About Legal Services Advocate Recruitment by DSLSA
Online applications are invited by Legal Services Advocate Recruitment by DSLSA in a prescribed format from eligible candidates for empanelment as Legal Services Advocates on Regular Panels in the Shahdara District Legal Services Authority for providing Legal Services in the Courts of MM, ASJ, ADJ, Consumer Forums, Family, Civil Judges, Special Court (MACT), District Judge (Commercial Court) Panels as per requirements mentioned below:
Eligibility Criteria for Legal Services Advocate Recruitment by DSLSA
Candidates who possess the following eligibility and experience should only apply for empanelment with the abovementioned District Legal Services Authority (DLSA):
- Applicant must have experience of five (05) years at Bar as of 05.08.2024 of conducting cases in the following panels:
- Empanelment in ASJ Courts (NDPS, POCSO, CBI, Special Courts)
- Empanelment in ADJ/Civil Courts (ADJs, LAC, MACT, Labour, etc.)
- Empanelment in Family Courts
2. Applicant must have experience of three (03) years as of 05.08.2024 of conducting cases in the following panels:
- Empanelment in Courts of Metropolitan Magistrates (CMM, ACMM & MM)
- Empanelment in Civil Courts (Civil Judge, ARC, ACJ, SCJ, Guardianship, etc)
- Empanelment for the Panel of District Consumer Forum, Revenue, Sr. Citizen
Selection process of Legal Services Advocate Recruitment by DSLSA
- No candidate will be called for an interview unless he/she satisfies the eligibility conditions, after the scrutiny of the Application forms.
- Merely fulfilling the eligibility criteria will not confer any right on a candidate to be called for an interview or selection.
- Depending upon applications received and the requirements of DLSAs, the Authority reserves the right to shortlist the candidates to be called for the Interview.
- Shortlisted candidates will be informed through e-mail/SMS/telephone about the date, time, and venue of the interview.
- Candidates shall bring with them all the original documents at the time of the interview.
- The Interview Board will take into consideration that the candidate who shall be appearing in the interview for empanelment as a Legal Services Advocate shall be assessed on criteria like personality/ eligibility, legal knowledge/ legal aptitude, commitment/ spirit to work in the field of legal aid, regularity/ availability in the said Court Complex/Tribunals/Commissions.
- The empanelment result will be displayed on the website of DSLSA www.dslsa.org.
- An approved protocol will be adopted while selecting Advocates in the event of a tie of two or more Advocates having scored the same marks in the interview during empanelment viz. Firstly the Seniority of the Advocate based on their date of registration with the Bar Council. In case the date of registration is the same then the person older in age will be preferred. Lastly, in case the date of birth is also the same then the selection will be done through a draw of lots.
